The name feijoada comes from feijão, ‘bean’ in Portuguese. is a stew of black beans with beef and pork. This celebratory meal is Brazil’s national dish.
This dish freezes well and is good re-heated the next day. It is often served with farofa – toasted cassava flour and oranges on the side.
