Mousse au chocolat is an exquisite French dessert made of chocolate and foam. Spain introduced chocolate to France and the French incorporated their “mousse technique” (foam) resulting in this mouth-watering and foamy-textured dessert. The first notorious recipe was documented by Joseph Menon, a French writer, in the 1750s.
